DD Bangla ( ডিডি বাংলা) is a state-owned television channel telecasting from Doordarshan Kendra Kolkata, India.
DD Bangla is the Bengali language satellite channel supported by Doordarshan studios in Kolkata, Shantiniketan and Jalpaiguri. Launched on 9th August 1975, DD Bangla has entertainment serials, infotainment programs, news and current affairs, social programs and film programs as its major content. The station also shows soap operas in Bengali. In terrestrial mode, DD Bangla is available to 97.1% of the population of West Bengal.
