Télé Liban est une chaîne de télévision généraliste publique libanaise créée le 30 décembre 1977 par la fusion des deux sociétés : Compagnie libanaise de télévision (créée en 1959) et Société de Télévision du Liban et du Moyen-Orient (créée en 1962), (les deux sociétés étant privées), et en créant la Société Télé Liban. L'État libanais achète 51 % de la société en 1977, puis les 49 % restant, ce qui va donner son statut publique à la société.
